Wild Tails Raw Dog Food Starter Pack
£14.99
The Wild Tails Raw Dog Food Starter Pack allows you to easily introduce your dog to a healthy raw diet.
Here’s why the experienced team at Wild Tails have made up this special Starter Pack.
- Popularity – Around 19 out of 20 dogs absolutely love tripe, even the ‘fussiest’ ones. We humans don’t tend to like the smell much but it’s so good for them that we ask that you bear with us for a few days while your dog de-toxes and adjusts. It’ll be worth it! Remember, stop feeding your old food. Just feed the freshly frozen raw food.
- Helps identify allergies or intolerances – There is no grain or nasty fillers in our food and what you see on the label is what you get. We have helped thousands of dogs by using this simple ingredient raw food and a careful process of elimination to identify any meats that your dog could be allergic to (sore ears, poor skin, biting paws) or intolerant to (loose poos, smelly bums). We know that it’s best to avoid chicken, beef and lamb at the beginning. Note – Did you know that most dry food (often called kibble) and tinned food contains Chicken Gravy? This means that many foods that claim to be ‘Hypoallergenic’ (meaning good for allergies) are NOT!
- Suitability – We have chosen loose minces which can easily be broken up into portions while still frozen. This flexibility means that the Starter Pack is suitable for dogs of all ages and weights. We’ve also kept the Starter Pack small, so not to take up too much room in your freezer.
We know that this Starter Pack won’t suit EVERY dog. Need different meats? Have specific health issues? Please contact us for a chat so we can tailor a Starter Pack specifically for your dog. Call or Whatsapp on 07729 266457. Please note that the price may increase or decrease slightly.
What to do…
Defrost what you need for 2 days (no more) in the fridge in a sealed container. It should be ready to feed in 8-10 hours. The rest can go back in the freezer until needed.
We have included 3 x 1kg bags of loose mince. Please feed in this order:
1st – 100% Pure Tripe. It’s smelly but incredibly good for your dog. It’s very gentle on the tummy so ideal for starting with. Raw food is what dogs have evolved to eat so you should see that you will pick up less poo than you are used to if you’ve been feeding kibble or tinned food.
2nd – Duck Tripe. Now we are introducing another meat (Duck) which hardly any dogs are allergic to. We are also now introducing 10% finely ground bone and 10% offal (organs). Both are important in providing the nutrients your dog needs to have strong teeth and bones and lush silky fur even into old age. Duck is a light meat so expect the poo to be lighter in colour (it’s not just the bone content which will make the poo lighter). Expect your dog to take longer to have a poo. This is normal. A firm poo also helps keep their anal glands naturally healthy.
3rd – Turkey Tripe. It’s important to have a varied, balanced diet so here we are introducing another meat but keeping the 10% bone and 10% offal.
The Bone Broth bars can be fed to your dog straight away, then one a day after that. Feed frozen or defrost in the bowl. These are very good for your dogs bones, skin and joints but more importantly their immune system and gut health. That’s why we’ve included them in our Starter Pack.
Feeding Guide
A 10kg adult dog will only need around 200g a day. So one 1kg bag will last you 5 days. If your dog is only 5kg then just feed 100g a day. If 20kg, then 400g a day… you get the picture.
If your adult dog is over 20kg or a young puppy needing just over double that of an adult dog then you will need 2 x Starter Packs.
